Natural Floral Kaleidoscope Photography

Nature has long been a source of illustrative interpretation. My inspiration for kaleidoscope patterns was an exploration of pattern and symmetry. The images were photographed and created by hand-building a one metre long kaleidoscope with a vestibule on one end, where I could place native Australian flowers and leaves.

After photographing the natural elements via the Kaleidoscope tube, sections were then selected for editing, creating more polished and repetitive patterns, thus expanding on the symmetry.
